Who’s Andres Novelo

Andres Novelo, born on November 6, 2007, is an entrepreneur, creator, and student from Baja California and San Diego. Originally from Ensenada, he left his hometown at age 13 to continue his education in the United States, earn his American citizenship, and pursue greater academic and professional opportunities.

He is currently a student at Patrick Henry High School (PHHS), Class of 2026. Before beginning his senior year, Andres took a job in Big Bear Lake during the summer. What started as regular seasonal work quickly evolved when Big Bear Vacations offered him a rare one-year internship right before he was scheduled to return to San Diego. Recognizing his maturity, work ethic, and natural talent, the company brought Andres into their business and hospitality operations, where he now works closely with directors and executives to learn leadership, customer service, and real-world management skills.

Alongside this role, Andres also serves as a marketing intern for Visit Big Bear, the official visitor center for the city. There, he supports tourism campaigns, branding efforts, community events, and promotional strategy for the Big Bear region.

Balancing two internships, Andres continues his academics through independent study, ensuring he remains on track to graduate with his friends and classmates in 2026.

Entrepreneurship & Creative Work

Beyond school and professional internships, Andres is an active young entrepreneur. He is the founder of Chasing Sunsets in Baja LLC, a cross-border lifestyle and tourism brand dedicated to curated travel, social media content, adventure culture, and the unique experiences of Baja California.

Andres also organizes off-road and exotic car events from Los Angeles to Mexico, collaborating with well-known drivers, teams, and industry partners. His deep ties to motorsports and tourism allow him to manage logistics, planning, and brand activations at a young age.

Music & School Involvement

In addition to business, Andres has made an impact creatively. During his time as the baseball team manager at Patrick Henry High School, he released original songs that captured the spirit of the team. His track “PH Showtime” became the official anthem played after every victory during the 2024–2025 season, becoming a meaningful part of school culture and team identity.

Family Legacy & Future Vision

Coming from a family that has shaped hospitality in Baja for generations through the historic Estero Beach Hotel & Resort, Andres remains active in the resort’s operations and long-term planning. His experience in Big Bear, combined with his entrepreneurial projects and creative work, reflect his commitment to learning, growing, and preparing himself to contribute to both his family’s legacy and his own independent ventures.

Driven by ambition and guided by opportunity, Andres is building a future that blends hospitality, tourism, business, marketing, entrepreneurship, music, and motorsports—a modern cross-border identity that represents both Baja California and Southern California. Every step he takes is rooted in growth, purpose, and the desire to create something meaningful for his community.
